Another Favorable Site From Adobe

I was surfing the web a few days ago when I came along an article that was talking about one of Adobe sites. This site is Photoshop.Com . After exploring this site for awhile I realize its a very useful tool! This site adds some basic tools from Photoshop and embeds them into a flash application. This site is very user friendly and simple to use , I would check it out!

I use this ALOT , its perfect if you need a color scheme , has many different option and is amazing! I love adobe for making this , really useful!

How To Make An Online Portfolio ( Easy!/Free )

So , every artist that is wanting to showcase there work or impress clients or whatever the situation may be usually have one thing , A Portfolio. A portfolio is very use full for finding a job in the graphic industry or again , simply showing off. Now a lot of artist do pay for a website and coding to get there own personal portfolio , but this can be very time consuming and costly , so there are sites that are user friendly AND free , best of both worlds. Today I will be showing one of my favorite portfolio service.

The site ( in my opinion ) is the best site for this job is...

It the easiest to use and most effective also! ( here is a sample of what one looks like; http://ryanford.cleanfolio.com/ )


At the bottom of the page you should see 2 options , one being "start your FREE portfolio" and the other one being " Start you premium portfolio". Now obviously the premium portfolio is a really great deal and if you are serious about your portfolio I would highly suggest you invest the money for a premium account.

Basically you can take it from there , everything is extremely user friendly and very straight forward so no confusion for less tech savvy people. Hope this helped you a lot :)

Best Gradient Pack ( In My Opinion )

There are 100's of gradient packs , some good , some bad. So I decided to show you some of the good , and some of the great. Gradients can give you design depth , it can really turn a 2d and make it 3d if used right. Here are a few gradient packs I use;

First off I will start with the basic one I use a lot , now I have to add some of my own gradients to it , like a 2.0 gradient and some black to grey gradients but non the less the pack is amazing!

My Favorite Fonts!

I have been meaning to post this lately because I love fonts! I am going to post some of my favorite because well I think you could get good use out of them. I use these fonts on a daily basis and I hope you will appreciate them as much as I do.

I just love this text and if you notice it is used in the logo above :) I can't get enough of this text!! I am sure this whole obsession will go away but for now I love the font , yes I will go as far as saying , I love a font.

Its really easy to do a design with this text , it basically does it itself. Its an amazing font for textography. Highly recommended you get this and make it apart of you own collection!

I just like the way it looks , very soft and mellow , chilled if you will. I really like this logo for web 2.0 designs , it works very nicely for that style .

For Beginners

I don`t plan on writing much. I know tutorials are something you will all be looking for but there are a few things you might want to know what you should be learning and what you will be wasting you time with. So , I will tell you this and listen closely.

Buy the latest photo shop! Extended is good but for learning you don't need it! You just need normal photo shop. You may be asking
"Why can't I use my Photo shop elements?"
Simple. Its old , outdated and in my opinion the worse thing to use. Any old version of photo shop are just outdated and will not help you when it comes to following tutorials! You will be lost and you will be confused. Now the latest one out is Photo shop CS4.

Photo shop cannot be learned over night! Do not think you can learn over night , you will not be able to. It takes work , takes time and it take motivation to do it. Don't think cause you bought the program everything is automatic and its 3 click of a button. This is an art form and it takes skill. Trust me the reward of being able to edit photos is an amazing feeling.

Keep going! I havBolde seen a lot of people just give up. I have one tip though. Show people! When you are done , to keep going and to keep yourself photo shopping show people , the reward of someone enjoying something you have done is photo shop is fulfilling . It can be addicting and push you to do more and more!

Photoshop is very use full From home business to making photos for your living room , Photoshop is a very power full tool. You can look at it from so many different ways! Simply photoshopping a picture for someone close to you at Christmas and printing it out with a nice frame can save you alot of money on a gift and show you care for them or creating a logo for your business can save you huge money! Even personal projects can raise you confidence and make more impressive and you will get more respect. Like the tip above , Keep Going.

Don't look , study. You may be a little confused when I say this but just read on. When you out , look around , Magazines, boxes of cereal what have you. Study the design , study how perfect that model is. You will be shocked , once you start photoshopping the world looks different. You wont see things as just ads , you will see them as someones art. You wont look in magazines and think people are just perfect. So next time you out and about , don't look , study. This will help you more then you can ever believe!

Last and final tip. Internet Internet Internet! This is combining all of the tips above. I am going to give you 2 sites , 2 sites that will help you with all the tips above ( Besides the first one ).
